I move by observing the rhythm of spaces and people, allowing scenes to unfold naturally in front of the lens. I focus on the relationship between people and their environment, seeking moments that reveal small stories of everyday life — from city neighborhoods to folk events and activities in the countryside.

Fyllaridis Zisis
Biography
Zisis Fyllaridis was born in 1986 in Soufli, Greece. His work focuses on documenting everyday life in urban environments, as well as the largely unexplored Balkan countryside. He seeks authentic scenes that have endured through the centuries, alongside spontaneous interactions of contemporary life. He works as a primary school teacher and translator, while also pursuing photography.
The Beginning of the Photographic Journey
He began taking photographs by documenting everyday life in the Greek countryside and in various cities across the Balkans. Over time, street photography evolved into his primary means of expression and observation of the urban landscape.
At the same time, he became involved in documenting folk events, local customs, and the people and activities of rural areas. In doing so, he expanded his interests beyond the urban fabric, exploring different aspects of Balkan life and tradition and moving well beyond conventional scenes of everyday life.
Photographic Approach
Exploring and wandering through new cities and regions lies at the core of my creative activity and often serves as the starting point for new photographic projects. My photographic approach is based on natural light and the un-staged capture of the moment, creating images that move between documentary photography and street photography.
